This homemade classic dessert is perfect for the holidays! Sweet and salty with the perfect nutty crunch!
Ingredients
1 9” Pie crust (I use Wholly wholesome)
2-2 ½ cups Pecans, coarsely chopped
3 Large eggs
½ cup Dark corn syrup
¼ cup Maple syrup (or 1 cup dark corn syrup)
2 tsp Vanilla extract
¼ cup Coconut oil
½ tsp Salt
1 tsp Ground cinnamon
Steps
Preheat the oven to 350F (177C).
Spread pecans evenly inside a 9 inch pie crust.
In a large bowl, mix eggs, maple syrup, vanilla, coconut oil, salt, and cinnamon
Poor into the pie shell evenly over pecans
Bake for 40 min until the top is lightly browned (After 20 min, can add a tin foil tent to keep the edges from browning to quickly)
Remove from oven onto a cooling rack for 30 min
Slice and serve pie warm or at room temperature
